The Rugby Sevens format is fast becoming one of the most popular sporting codes in the world, and is now ready to host the twentieth edition of their World Series.
For South Africa it was the second consecutive Rugby Sevens championship and third overall. As for team Fiji, it was a disappointing way to finish but they did take the Gold in five of the ten events, and have been a formidable side for the past seven years so look for them to be there in the mix this time out.
When: June , Where: Paris, France For the men, the number one seed is South Africa, which was the most consistent side throughout the Sevens Series this past year. Fiji are the form side heading into the tournament having won Gold at half of the stops last time around.
Fiji will look to get off to a faster start, after failing to finish higher than fourth in the first three stops last year, Dubai, Capetown and Sydney. As for the Australian men, they are ranked fourth entering with their best efforts last season being a win at Sydney which was followed by a Semi Final loss in Hamilton.
