He was a mainstay on special teams where he was named the Titans Special Teams Player of the Game on three different occasions and game captain twice.
He closed his NFL career in Chicago after the season. He played in 62 games and closed NFL career with 26 receptions for yards and two touchdowns, including one on a fake punt. He is now a business consultant in the Chicago area.
He posted a career record of and a mark in his final two seasons. He was the head coach at Upper Iowa from before moving on to Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he coached for 32 seasons. He coached 12 All-Americans and 18 conference champions during his time there and retired in He was paralyzed in a hunting accident in and continued to coach for another 10 seasons.
She still holds the career mark for the best three-point percentage.
She also recorded the only triple-double in program history with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against Eastern Illinois in the season. Her accomplishments as a player at UNI pale in comparison to her record as a coach. She was an assistant at Wartburg before becoming the head coach at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, in She went during her first two seasons, but since that time, she has not had double-digit losses in a single season.
The Panthers went overall in the season, including a game win streak, and a record in Missouri Valley Conference play to run away with the regular-season title. The Panthers earned the No.
UNI controlled the game from the opening tip, building an early lead. Their philanthropic personalities radiate support that extends across the UNI campus making an impact on academics, the arts, capital building projects and Panther athletics.
To perpetuate their interest in helping students at UNI, Stan and Rose made provisions in their estate plan for a scholarship fund. Because they have arranged a bequest provision for the university, they are recognized as members of the UNI Legacy Society.
Stan is a Panther Scholarship Club fund drive volunteer and has served for many years on the Panther Scholarship Club executive committee and past board president.
He reached the NCAA tournament finals at heavyweight as a junior in and again as a senior in after finishing eighth as a sophomore in He ranks third in school history in victories, just ahead of his brother Joel.
He earned a gold medal at the Pan America Games. His work focuses on prion diseases, including chronic wasting disease. He has published dozens of papers in the field.
